By accessing or using Blur My Text (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

Blur My Text is a web-based tool that allows users to blur or blackout sensitive information in screenshots and images. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.

2. Use of the Service

You may use the Service for lawful purposes only. You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe upon the rights of others, including intellectual property rights
  • Transmit any viruses, malware, or harmful code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or networks
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service

3. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

  • Ensuring you have the right to edit and process any images you upload
  • The content of images you process using the Service
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of any login credentials (though we don't have any)
  • All activities that occur under your use of the Service

4. Intellectual Property

As between you and Blur My Text, you retain all right, title, and interest in and to your images and any edits you make using the Service. We do not claim any ownership over your images.

You grant Blur My Text a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your images solely as necessary to provide the Service to you. This license ends when you close your browser or navigate away from the Service.

5. Privacy

Our commitment to your privacy is detailed in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms of Service by reference.

Key privacy points: We do not collect, store, or have access to your images. All processing happens client-side in your browser.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • MERCHANTABILITY
  • FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
  • NON-INFRINGEMENT

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. Image processing results may vary based on your device, browser, and image characteristics.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL BLUR MY TEXT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF USE, DATA, GOOD-WILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

  • YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICE;
  • ANY UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR USE OF OUR SERVERS AND/OR ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION STORED THEREIN;
  • ANY BUGS, VIRUSES, TROJAN HORSES, OR THE LIKE THAT MAY BE TRANSMITTED TO OR THROUGH THE SERVICE BY ANY THIRD PARTY;
  • ANY ERRORS OR OMISSIONS IN ANY CONTENT OR FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE INCURRED AS A RESULT OF THE USE OF ANY CONTENT POSTED, EMAILED, TRANSMITTED, OR OTHERWISE MADE AVAILABLE THROUGH THE SERVICE;
  • ANY STATEMENTS OR CONDUCT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICE;
  • OR ANY OTHER MATTER RELATING TO THE SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT WILL BLUR MY TEXT'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL DAMAGES, LOSSES, AND CAUSES OF ACTION EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO BLUR MY TEXT FOR THE SERVICE (IF ANY).

8. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Blur My Text and its officers, directors, employees, and agents, from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service.

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Blur My Text operates, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms of Service at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

By continuing to access or use the Service after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, please discontinue using the Service.
